COUNTER (2008-2010. During 2008-10 I was the Swedish partner in the 7th Framework project COUNTER, and worked together with Marianne Dahlén and Ekaterina Kalinina. Financed through the Social-Economic Sciences and Humanities (SSH) theme in the “Cooperation” program, the consortium COUNTER was made up of five European partner institutions in Italy, Austria, Sweden, Slovenia and the UK. Firmly based in a user-oriented perspective, the consortium was an interdisciplinary project on issues of copyright, piracy, and the creative practices of social networks. Uppsala University was responsible for the work package entitled “Copyright and Collaborative Practices,” which included hosting an international workshop at UU between May 13-14, 2009.
